As physical education is an integral part of education, the vidyalaya gives equal importance to sports & games for inculcating moral values and the spirit of true sports man ship in students to face the real world ahead of them.

Kendriya Vidyalaya,Pasighat has a large play ground it has foot ball field, volleyball court, jumping pit, kho-kho and kabaddi court

during the physical education period the children are spread to all the above mentioned various play fields, and are trained vigorously for their valuable contribution towards various levels of KVS competitions conducted at the regional and national levels.

We have various events /games taught to the students. The games are the foot ball, volley ball, kho-kho , kabaddi, cricket and athletics.

Apart from this KVS Sangathan has equally shown interest to this department and as matter of fact the sangathan has allowed to engage a few coaches in some disciplines in the schools,

the students in our vidyalaya participated in various games like foot ball,table tennis, cricket, kho-kho and athletics organised by KVSand some students from this level were selected for regional, national levels in the last year and in the present year in football at K.V. Dimapur and a boy named Ha John of Class VII was selected to represent from the Silchar region to participate in the KVS National meet held at Chandigarh in October 2005. The regional foot ball team won gold medal in the KVS National meet.

Consistent efforts such as inviting special coach in various events to this vidyalaya to train the students to achieve excellent sports skills are being undertaken and this has culminated in the selection of, 03 students of this vidyalaya for the Regional Football team to represent Silchar Region in the National Level KVS Sports Meet in this year 2006-07
